PART-TIME GEOTECHNICAL LAB TECHNICIAN
Job Description:
The lab technician will be responsible for performing a variety of geotechnical testing on soil, rock and construction materials in a laboratory environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- NICET certification or ACI certification is a plus, but not required.
- No prior experience required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions, can work independently, and also as part of a team.
Typical duties:
- Perform geotechnical testing, including soil classifications, compaction, moisture content, Atterberg Limits, Sieve analysis, permeability, and other standard tests.
- Prepare samples for testing and maintain accurate records of all test results.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe laboratory environment.
- Follow all quality standards, safety procedures and company policies.
Job Type: Part-time

Job Description:
Full-time position for a Civil CADD Designer to work in a small Civil/Environmental Engineering company located in Baton Rouge, LA. The successful candidate will work mainly on solid waste and geotechnical projects, including aiding engineers in the design, permitting, monitoring, and inspection of landfills.
Strong knowledge and verifiable long experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D in a work environment is a must!
In addition, candidate must have a good attitude, attention to detail, strong reporting skills, and be able to get along well with others. Local candidates preferred; no relocation.
