Construction Materials Testing

FDAE's laboratory employs a rigorous Quality Management System (QMS), so that the testing results you receive are accurate, precise, and meet all required technical standards.  All of our equipment is calibrated and inspected in accordance with the most up-to-date quality management standards.  FDAE holds accreditations for the following quality management standards: R18, C1077 (Concrete), D3740 (Soil), and E329 (Concrete).

  • FDAE's Baton Rouge laboratory holds accreditation through the AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP) and adheres to the standards for which the laboratory is accredited, and also participates in CCRL inspections and Proficiency Sample Programs.
  • FDAE is validated by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
  • FDAE is certified by the Louisiana Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (LELAP) in Solid Chemical Materials.  LELAP is granted through the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.
