SENIOR CIVIL/GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER:
Full-time position for a Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to work in a growing Civil and Environmental Engineering company located in Baton Rouge, LA. The successful candidate will work mainly on solid waste and geotechnical projects, including design, permitting, monitoring, and inspection of solid waste facilities, as well as other geotechnical and environmental engineering projects. He/she will be responsible for planning and supervising field exploration and laboratory testing programs, conducting engineering analyses, developing recommendations, writing reports and consulting with clients.
The successful candidate will be technically superior, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in project management and mentoring of staff/project engineers. The position requires a Louisiana P.E. License and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. A Master’s or Ph.D. Degree in Geotechnical Engineer is strongly preferred. Ten years of experience in solid waste/geotechnical engineering as well as two years of experience using AutoCad Civil 3D in a work environment is required.
Additional requirements include: willing to work on weekends and overtime as required, willing to work on out of town/overnight assignments as required, a safe driving record, and authorization to work in the United States. Typical duties may also include performing tasks at field locations, mostly out of town. Individual should be physically fit and able to spend extended hours working outdoors in a wide range of climate conditions. In addition, candidate must have a good attitude, attention to detail, strong reporting skills, and be able to get along well with others. Local candidates preferred; no relocation.
